Geeta Sondhi is a
Gemini-nominated, multi -award winning producer and
director. She has worked independently and with high-profile
Canadian production companies, broadcasters and institutions
and brings a combined background in documentary and
lifestyle programming to the series neat.
Geeta produced Some Kind of Arrangement, a one-hour documentary
produced by Sondhi Productions Inc. for CBC-Witness in
co-production with the National
Film Board of Canada (NFB). Awards include a Gemini nomination for the Donald
Brittain Award, a Golden Sheaf Award, a Gold Cindy Award,
and a Silver Chris Award. At the NFB, she worked on a
number of documentaries including as Production Manager
on the critical and box-office success Forbidden
Love,
and as Associate Producer on the award-winning series
of short dramatic films called Playing
Fair. As head
of Business and Legal Affairs at Associated
Producers her credits include a number of internationally acclaimed
documentaries such as Emmy winner The
Selling of Innocents (PBS-Nova; Channel 4; CBC); Ebola:
Inside an Outbreak (CBC; Channel 4) and Hollywoodism (CBC, Channel 4, A&E,
ZDF).
Selected lifestyle directing credits include Going
To The Dogs (Life Network), Canadian
Gardening (Life Network),
two seasons of Garden Architecture (HGTV), and a season
of Mark Cullen Gardening (HGTV).
Geeta managed the Non-theatrical and New Media funds
at the Ontario Film Development
Corporation and was a Programmer
at the Toronto International
Film Festival. At ExtendMedia,
she produced a series of high-profile convergent new
media projects extending television programming to the
web.
Geeta is currently producing a one hour documentary,
Girl Culture, with the NFB for broadcast on CBC Rough
Cuts.
