Bathroom
Organizing:
- Use the “one-in, one-out” rule.
Stockpiling “on
sale” items costs you in valuable space. Just buy
what you need and before you bring something new in, toss
an old
item out.
- Don’t store medications and vitamins in
the bathroom. The heat and moisture hastens their deterioration.
- Check
expiry dates on medications and purge regularly. Medication
should be disposed of as hazardous waste.
- Razors are only
good for five uses.
- Write the date of purchase on cosmetics
so you have some idea of when they expire since many don't
have an expiry
date printed on them. This is especially true of liquid eye liner and mascara,
which only have a 3 month
shelf life once they are opened.
Tip: To keep your
bathroom feeling and looking like a spa instead of a pharmacy, only buy what
you need
and stick to the “one-in,
one-out” rule.
