A
tragic house fire destroyed Kelly’s house and all of
her belongings over ten years ago. Since then, she has accumulated
an overwhelming number of possessions that she knows she doesn’t
need but holds onto anyway. Living out of boxes in an older
home they moved into a year ago, Kelly and her family are being
defeated by hallways that are out of control with clutter and
an entranceway barricaded by unpacked boxes. In this episode
of neat, Hellen helps Kelly confront her fear of letting go
and transforms a creepy crawl space into a functional closet
with much-needed shelving. She creates a spacious and utilitarian
entranceway and shows Kelly how to pare down, fold and store
an over-abundant collection of linen.
