Andrea
and Sheldon are new empty-nesters. When their 20-year old daughter
went off to college, they moved from a 4000 ft2 home into a
smaller 1500 ft2 bungalow. The problem is when they downsized
their space they didn’t downsize their belongings. The
bedroom is full of clothes Andrea doesn’t wear, and the
basement is strewn with old pieces of furniture, stacks of
framed artwork and a bar that acts as a dumping ground for
homeless knickknacks and memorabilia. Andrea and Sheldon thought
their new home would signify a fresh start but it’s not
working out that way - they need help. In this episode, Hellen
teaches Andrea and Sheldon how to let go of the belongings
that no longer fit their lifestyle and helps them create a
neat and spacious environment they can enjoy together.
