A Colourful Approach to Organizing
an Office
If you have multiple projects that seem
to collide, and you can’t keep
track of all the various deadlines and meetings for each one, try colour coding.
First, assign a colour to each project.
File each project in folders or binders of the same colour – now everything
is easily identifiable and each project is distinct.
Next, invest in a package of coloured pens or markers. Use
the colour you’ve
chosen for each project to keep track of meetings, events, and deadlines on your
calendar - preferably a desk-sized blotter calendar. If you’re working
with lists and use a whiteboard, transfer your colour coding there. Now items
and events associated with specific projects can be found quickly and easily.
