How to make your front entrance functional and inviting

It’s easy to turn an underutilized and unwelcoming front entrance way into one that’s functional and inviting.

A bench is a perfect addition – it’s great to have a spot to sit while putting on your shoes, and it can double as storage if you just add a few baskets underneath. Use one basket per family member for everyday items like hats, gloves, and scarves.

Add a shoe rack to keep shoes in order and hooks at two levels – eye level for coats and jackets, and lower down for backpacks and bags.

Then for a finishing touch, add plants and pictures to create a warm, homey, feel.
