Create
a Kid-Friendly Closet
In order to help your child develop independence, customize
their bedroom closet so that their clothing is easy to find
and put
away:
Some ideas for making a kid-friendly closet:
• Add
a second closet rod, at a lower level allowing you to hang
clothes
within a child’s
reach.
• Use kid-sized hangers that are
made for small hands and garments.
Kids will want to put their
own clothes away if it’s easy
for them
• Take a regular shoe cubby and
cut it down to size. Hang the shortened
version off the lower
closet
rod. Now your child
will want to
put their
shoes away too
• Colour code to make organizing easy
and fun
• Top shelves can be used for
clothing to grow into
