How
to Create Project Boxes
A great way to keep a communal space organized and neat is to establish different
project boxes for each person or task. By introducing task specific boxes, you
can better keep you and your family’s projects and tasks organized.
- Create a project box to house each of your tasks.
- Creating a separate box for each task gives everyone
using the area a “home” without cluttering the
work area. It also makes it easy to take your project to
another room to work on.
- For kids, having a box of their own means they
can quickly tidy up after using a communal space.
- Clip interesting articles/images from magazines and file
them away, toss the rest
- Make the tools that you use on a regular basis accessible
(i.e. sewing machine and scrap booking tools) having your
equipment buried under a mess results in unfinished projects
and even more clutter.
- When you are finished working on something, be sure to
put it back in its rightful home. This frees up workspace
which is especially important in a communal area
